Drum Set Textures

Alright everyone, the last texture i have for ya is form my drumset. Besides for the drums themselves i discovered some very cool drumset textures. The cymbals have a cool grain to them as well as some cool movement. Then the top of my cowbell is a dark grainy texture. When i went to look at my old snare drum, i saw how beat up with top of it was and its PERFECT for some grunge texture or brushes. Check em out and let me know if you create! I'll link ya

Dark Leather Texture Pack

Alright, I found a bunch of dark leather around the house too. So let me know if anyone can use these textures to their benefit. I had a lot of trouble with lighting on these ones, as well as staying focused. So to be real, these aren't the most high quality but take em or leave em.

After taking a closer look, i do like the grainy texture of these. I think they'll be real versatile for a grunge background or something of the sort. It'd be easy to overlay them with a darker color and have a cool effect. AGAIN>>> if anyone does something cool with these let me know and i'll put a link up

Wall Textures

Well, i'll be honest. I've got like 4 different types of walls in my house. I really thought this would've been a larger set but as I went from room to room, i realized all of them were either smooth wall paper or spackled walls. Soo.. i came up with this 5 texture set of wall textures.

After taking all those smooth wood texture pics, i came across a couple logs of wood and figured i'd snap some photos of rough wood textures as well. These may be a little out of focus but they're yours for the takin'. If anyone comes up with anything from these make sure you let me know and i'll link to your art. Here's the Rough wood textures.

Basket Texture Pack

Alright it's time for a basket texture set. My house is adorned with wicker accents everywhere it seems, so the idea of a basket/wicker texture pack seemed like a good idea to me. After taking 20 or so pictures though, you come to realize all wicker and baskets pretty much look the same. But heres some pics for everyone. Again, comment and let me know what i need to fix.

I personally think that this last one will be the most useful one of all, due to the quality of the picture. I've never really been a photographer so i'm still learning. But if you find any uses for these sets let me know and i'll be glad to show off your work on here!

Peace, IG.

Smooth Wood Textures

Well everyone i started working on my first textures sets. It was actually a pretty fun process. As i explored around my house with a camera i realized how many textures there are everywhere. Walls, tables, carpets, place mats, and even toilet seats are all different textures that could be useable in photoshop. My first sets may be a little iffy, and I'm sure some of them are out of focus so feel free to let me know if any of them need work. I can't .zip the sets all together so I'm just going to upload them as individual images. Here ya go, there's 10 images of smooth wood textures in my home. The lighting could use some work, but bear with me its the first set.

Affiliate Marketing - A Simple and Sweet Explanation

Althoug affiliate marketing has long been in the mainstream, I'm very aware there are plenty of people who still need to get in on the big secret. So if you hear me talking about internet marketing or affiliate marketing, but have no idea what I'm talking about, here's a simple introduction.

Basically, there's tons and tons of websites on the internet out there that want you advertise their products. In return they will offer you a commission off of every sale you bring in. Affiliates benefit off of their profits and websites benefit off free advertising and increased sales. Win-Win.Now, i'm sure there are skeptics towards the money making potential of affiliate marketing, but you cannot argue the facts. People are making loads of money with this. Even me.

Now with all of the extensive affiliate marketing resources available for free on the internet today, I don't think that I am the guy to tell you all about it. BUT i will sum up the good and bads about it, as well as hook ya up with all the best resources to get ya goin'.

What's so Great About Internet Marketing?
- You are your own boss and you determine profits
- No product development necessary, you sell everyone else's products.
- No customer service, no angry customers.
- There is an unlimited potential to make money with affiliate marketings
- There are literally Thousands of products to choose from.
- Allows you to use your hobbies to make money.
- Make Money even while you sleep.
-No Sign up fees.

My favorite part of making money with affiliate marketing truly is the fact sales occur around the clock. At first sales roll in slow, but eventually a well built website truly churn out sales even when you are sleeping. Websites are just like a bunch of 7/11's because they're always open. Being your own boss can be a daunting task but if you discipline yourself it becomes another great advantage. 98% of new affiliates fail because they give up. Push yourself to keep working.

Ok, so what's the catch?
- You are always the middleman
- Subject to the success or fail of the products you affiliate with
- You are truly missing out on lots of profit from your hard earned sales

Affilliate marketing definately isn't all sunshine. Many times a product you affiliate with will go bunk and suddenly a bunch of your consistent sales disappear. But honestly that's the biggest negative of being affiliate in my eyes. I mean after working so hard to make a sale, creating your own product truly is the smartest solution. But not having an inventory and not taking the time to create your product are two big advantages of affiliate marketing.

This is literally a SIMPLE affiliate marketing intro. Check out all these sites in you're really interested. I'll try to update this post every now and then.

Dont be an Internet Marketer, Be an Internet Hustler.

How I got Hustled
OK, so no one take this post too seriously I don't want you out hustlin people, but I'd just like to make a quick point. Four years ago, when I had my first venture in internet marketing, things were a lot different. To be honest, I fell for a get rich quick "Type at Home" job. It told me to sign up for clickbank, sell their product and post up links on free job boards to make sales. Ironically, i made my first sale in 2 days. I had an unbelievable strike of luck. But i got hooked, i posted tons of links everywhere which of course amounted to zero sales. Either way, I got hustled, but I still discovered affiliate marketing.

Now its 2010, and almost every site seems to have implemented an affiliate program or links to affiliate products. What does this mean? More competition. Don't be discouraged because if you outsmart the competition there is PLENTY of money to be made.

The difference between an Internet Hustler and an Internet Marketer.
An internet marketer is anyone who attempts to market products online or get the word out about their website or any website for that matter. An Internet Hustler is an internet marketer that outsmarts the competition to make themselves more money and work half as hard as the competition. Obviously outlandish claims like that are made everyday in the internet marketing world, but there are truly people doing just that at this very moment.

At the time, the owner of the type at home job scam I fell for was truly an internet hustler. Back then, a type at home job like that was unheard of and affiliate marketing was still on its uprise. He created a product and utilized the work at home aspect of affiliate marketing and offered it as a solution to unemployment. On top of that, the guide to affiliate marketing instructed the buyers to advertise his own product. But people fell for it, and I'm sure some people got lucky like I did.

Today with the junked up affiliate community, scams like that are never stable income. People wisened up. The true way to be an internet hustler now is to outsmart your competition with content. Nothing is more valuable than your website viewers trust and if you can get that your recommendations will actually lead to affiliate sales and your adspace will start fillin up. That's the truth. I'll go into more ways soon to save your time and really get you on your grind.

But Remember.
Don't hustle your consumers, hustle the competition.

peace.

Hey Guys, although I've been in the web design community as well as the affiliate marketing community since 2006, this is truly the first blog post i've been serious about. I'vealways worked pretty incognito with photoshop tutorials and internet marketing, but I decided I really want to make a blog and write some good tutorials. Here's my plan:

1. Write Cool Tutorials.
Over the years you pick up on all sorts of tricks and tips that make your life as a web master easier. I'll try to put some of my "golden" tips up on here.

2. Bring Together the Best Resources and Products
In the affiliate and internet marketing world especially, its hard to sift through the garbage and find truly worth while resources that are worth your money or even free. I also like to create things for webmasters to use as well so look forward to textures, photoshop brushes, web templates, affiliate turnkey sites, articles, and lots more!

3. Have Some Fun.
I swear some tutorials I read are so boring it takes all the fun out of learning a new design or a Make Money Online (MMO) scheme. Although it's hard, i'll do my best not to write in a droning voice.

So there's my goals. I'll get the posts comin sooon!
